NASA SMD Mission Software Workshop 2026
📝 Event Description
The 2026 NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Mission Software Workshop brings together mission software developers and operators, AI and software researchers, and partner organizations from industry, academia, and the open source community. Held September 15–17 in Pasadena, CA (hosted at Caltech) with virtual participation available, the workshop builds on the May 2024 SMD Software Workshop, focusing this year on three areas: mission software development and operations, AI for software, and partner engagement. Sessions are designed to surface shared technical gaps and chart practical paths toward stronger coordination across the SMD mission software ecosystem.
More information is available on the workshop event page.
